1. What these terms cover

These Rental Terms describe how a rental works on RentPull: what the owner agrees to provide, what the renter agrees to do, and how money moves before, during and after the rental.

RentPull is not a party to the rental agreement. The contract for each rental is between the owner and the renter; we provide the marketplace, the payment flow and the record of the trailer's condition.

2. Owner responsibilities

Every owner confirms the following rules before a listing can be published:

Your listing must describe a trailer you own and are legally allowed to rent out.

Keep the trailer roadworthy: working lights, tires in good condition, and a valid registration.

Photos must show the actual trailer — no contact details (phone, email, links) in photos or text.

Renters see your exact address and location comment only after a confirmed booking.

Respond to booking requests promptly; repeated no-shows may lead to delisting.

The security deposit is held separately and never counts toward the rental price.

Cancellations and refunds follow the platform cancellation policy.

3. Renter responsibilities

Before paying, the renter confirms that their driver's license and towing vehicle meet the towing requirements shown for that trailer. A trailer must not be towed by a vehicle that does not meet them.

The renter returns the trailer at the agreed place and time, in the condition it was collected in, and documents that condition with the return photos described below.

4. Security deposits

An owner may require a refundable security deposit between $50 and $2,000. The deposit is authorized as a separate hold at checkout — it is held, not charged, and it never counts toward the rental price.

The hold is released after the trailer is returned and its condition is confirmed. If a damage claim is opened, the hold stays in place until the claim is resolved.

5. Tolls, permits, and citations

The renter is responsible for every toll, road or bridge charge, parking fee, permit fee, and traffic or parking citation incurred while the trailer is in their possession.

These bills usually reach the owner weeks after the rental ends. When one does, RentPull passes it on to the renter at cost and adds a $10 administrative fee per toll or citation. The amount of the bill goes to the owner; the administrative fee covers processing it and is not paid to the owner.

The renter has 48 hours from the moment a charge is posted to pay it or to dispute it. If neither happens, the payment method saved for that booking is charged automatically.

By accepting these terms at checkout, the renter authorizes RentPull to charge that payment method for such bills for up to 180 days after the rental ends. An owner may post a bill only inside that same 180-day window, and only with a copy of the bill attached.

6. Pickup, return, and condition photos

Pickup and return photos are required to document trailer condition.

The pickup step opens about 1 hour before the rental begins; the trailer's exact address is revealed at the same moment. Return photos are taken when the trailer is handed back.

Both sets of photos are kept with the booking and are the evidence used if a damage claim is opened.

7. Fees and payouts

The renter's total is made up of the rental price set by the owner, a RentPull service fee and a payment processing fee. All of them are itemized in the price breakdown before payment is confirmed.

The owner's payout is the rental price minus the service fee. It is released to the owner's connected payout account 2 days after the booking is completed.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations follow the Cancellation Policy, which applies to every booking on the platform. In short: a confirmed booking cancelled more than 48 hours before it starts is refunded in full.

The Cancellation Policy is the controlling document for refund amounts; see the link at the bottom of this page.
